Kathua, Sept 22: To mark the celebrations of birth anniversary of last Dogra ruler of Jammu and Kashmir Maharaja Hari Singh, Shri Amar Kshatriya Rajput Sabha Kumar organized a meeting at Kathua. District President Kartar Singh expressing his views during the meeting termed Maharaja as man of great charter and person with true human heart who never distinguished between the people of any religion lower or from upper class. "Maharaja brought many reforms and justice to all was his principle", he added. He said that Shri Amar Kshatriya Rajput Sabha is going to organize a function in connection with the Maharaja Hari Singh's birth anniversary on September 23, 2014 at District Office, ward number 7. Ravinder Singh Slathia highlighting the contributions of Maharaja termed him as great reformer. "He started the tradition to conduct Pooja of all girls including schedule castes, formed recruitment board, went for abrogation of untouchability, passed Agriculture Act, instituted Infant Marriage Prevention regulations, started practice of instituting State Subject, suppression of immoral traffic among women, constituted State Public Service Commission and framed Scholarships Selection Board", he said. The other speakers appealing people of all lifestyles especially the Dogras' to participate, in the function and show their devotion towards their King. Chanda Singh, Onkar Singh, Rakesh Singh, Pawan Singh, Variender Singh, Santosh Singh and many others were present during the meeting. |
