Members of ‘Team Jammu’ reach out to survivors of ill-fated Saddal village

UDHAMPUR, Sept 22 : Team Jammu-a group of intellectuals, technocrats, medicos and writers, today reached out the inhabitants of the ill-fated Saddal village in Block Pancheri of Udhampur district, the worst affected lot of the recent nature's fury and distributed some relief to express their solidarity with them at the time of sorry and devastation.
Members of the Team Jammu after reaching Panjar village where survivors of Saddal hamlet have been putting up in tents distributed relief material to the marooned people.
In its humanitarian approach the Team Jammu tried to share grievances of the ill-fated residents but it was really very difficult to heal wounds of these unfortunate people who have lost everything including family members in the catastrophe.
The whole Saddal village was washed away in devastating land-sliding on September 6. A number of bodies are still buried under the debris.
Interacting with the survivors of the Saddal village, members of the Team Jammu conveyed that they are here only to express solidarity and to give moral support to them as it was impossible to compensate the losses which these families have suffered due to nature's fury.
Members of the Team Jammu assured the residents that they wouldn't take rest until and unless all affected families would be completely and properly rehabilitated within a stipulated time frame.
They further assured the residents that they would try to arrange as much as possible relief for them so as to minimize their miseries. The Team also assured to provide medical facilities to the affected families.
Members of the Team Jammu earlier visited Dugdugee Mohalla of Udhampur and distributed some relief items among flood affected families.
Team Jammu- a group of intellectuals, technocrats, medicos and writers, has started relief and rehabilitation efforts in the far-flung land slide ravaged areas like Pancheri and Majalata in Udhampur district while Dera Baba area in Reasi district by providing immediate relief material to the affected families.
