Geelani, Mirwaiz resume their subversive activities | Under the garb of devastation | | Neha JAMMU, Sept 22: Enemies of humanity and the Indian nation Syed Ali Shah Geelani, who sought and got the army's help to save his life, and Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, who did not utter a word of sympathy even for the flood-ravaged Kashmiri Muslims till the other day, are back on the scene. Instead of hailing the efforts of the Government of India and Army, Air Force, Navy, NDRF, CRPF and BSF and the Indian nation as whole, which swung solidly behind the flood-affected people in the state, these ungrateful separatists have started indulging in dirty politics. On the one hand, Geelani on Sunday urged the authorities to releaseall the detainees from prisons and on the other hand, Mirwaiz the same day met with an Iranian delegation and requested Iran to help the Kashmiri Muslims so that their hardships are mitigated and rehabilitated. "People from outside of the state and even abroad are back home to join their distressed families, but the detainees (read terrorists and separatists, who have committed grave offences) who have sacrificed their today for our tomorrow are left with no option, but to suffer from psychological trauma and mental disturbance," Geelani said in a statement. Geelani also termed the Omar Abdullah-led coalition Government as a "power thirsty puppetry regime" and said: "we don't expect any human and moral response on their own". Besides, he urged the rich families to donate as much as they could. His statement neither referred to the relief work being undertaken by the Government of India through the State Government nor did he say anything about what the Indian Army did to him. And also remember he sought relief only for the affected people of certain Kashmir's towns and village, including Nowgam Bano Pora, Batamaloo, Sheikh Dawood Colony, Basant Bagh, Chati Padshahi, Gurduwara, Rainawari, Sumbal Sonawari and Anantnag. Like Geelani, Mirwaiz also thought it communally prudent not to refer to the splendid role which was played, and is still being played, by the Government of India and its various agencies. How ungrateful Geelani, Mirwaiz and other separatists are! |
