DyCM's Department ignores GAD order on transfers | | | Sandeep Bhat JAMMU, Sept 22: The General Administration Department (GAD) orders on transfers in various departments after September 1, has not been implemented in letter and spirit till today when the deadline fixed by the GAD for its implementation expired. Sources revealed that the Education Department which is under the control of DyCM Tara Chand is sleeping on the order. There are around 150 transfers which took place from 1st to 7 th September in Education Department and more transfers took place even after 7th September in Jammu province particularly in Jammu district. As per GAD order, those who have been transferred after 1st September have to report back to their previous posting, but the Education Department is not implementing the order yet. There are indicators that those who have been transferred have paid hefty amounts and are in no mood to go back to their previous postings. As per confirmed reports, in several schools and even in DIET Jammu where people are still sitting at their places and not complying with the Government order. CM and his PRO is allegedly involved in transfer of teachers. Talking to Early Times, Manoj, a teacher said that ever since, the DyCM took charge of this department, its functioning has worsened and the lower level officers are involved in corrupt practices. Rates have been fixed for transfers. The DyCM being the Minister incharge of School Education is responsible for wrong doings in his department. Sunita Kumari, another teacher, said that our profession is considered as the noble profession and nobody should be allowed to destroy its sanctity. The Government order should be implemented in letter and spirit as soon as possible. It is also learnt that the Director School Education in an interview to a local daily said that transfers of teachers are made on health grounds after 1st September. |
