Kathua, Sept 30: Shanti Path Trust (SPT),Trikuta Nagar, Jammu in association with Director Health Services, Deptt of Ophthalmology Govt Medical College & Hospital (GMC), Indira Gandhi Govt Dental College(IGGDC), Director Indian System of Medicines (ISM) and Shri Narsing Goshala, Mandli organized a free medical and Dental camp at village Mandli in Billawar of Kathua. The camp was organized with an aim to bring better health care to the door step of villagers living in remote and isolated localities. This was eighth free medical camp in this area and around eight specialists examined 737 patients. The team of expert comprising Drs Priyanka Sodani, Bharti Sarangal,Sazia, Satinder and Abhishek (Eye) from GMC, Dr Rakesh Raina, Mohd Tabassum, Priya Thapa, Anna Thakur (Interns) and Hygienist Khalil Mirza from IGGDC, Drs Mohinder Lal (ENT), Poonam Padotra (Gynae) and Som Nath (Physician) from CMO Kathua, Dr Neetu Handoo and Shiv Kumar (Phar) from Director ISM. "Thirty six cases of cataract were identified for operations which are being organized on Oct 9 at GMC& H Jammu, the SPT spokesperson said, adding, "Dr Dinesh Gupta and his team shall be conducting the operations.". Out of 737, around 147 patients took advantage of ISM facility provided by ISM expert Dr Neetu. Vinay Mahajan (Allopathic ) and Shiv Kumar (ISM) pharmacists managed distribution of medicines which were provided free of cost to all the patients. |
