IDPD medical relief sent to valley

Jammu, Sept 30: Doctors and paramedical staff of Indian Doctors for Peace and Development (IDPD) which is affiliated with IPPNW (International Physicians for prevention of Nuclear warfare) have reached Srinagar with relief material and medical stores to help the people in various flood ravaged localities there.According to press release, the group includes eminent doctors of country such as Dr. Satyajit Singh, Dr. Shakeel, Dr. Arun Kumar Handa and is led by Dr. Arun Mitra (Gen. Secretary IDPD).
The team was flagged off by D.K Batra Joint Secretary and Dr. R.P Kudyar Director Principal ASCOMS in presence of Dr. S.S Soodan Director Medical ASCOMS who is also the National Senior Vice President IDPD.
These doctors will also remain associated with the field health facility established by ASCOMS HOSPITAL Jammu at Yatri Niwas, Shree Sanatan Dharam Partap Sabha, Lal Chowk, Srinagar. Dr. G.M Mallik (Retd.) Prof. Medicine and Incharge IDPD Kashmir will remain as the nodal officer for this relief work.
