Vijaypur, Sept 30: On the directions of Deputy Commissioner, Samba, a committee of officers headed by SDM Vijaypur - Sonu Pargal conducted surprise visit of Vijaypur and Bari-Brahmna towns for checking of rates of food items, eatables and sweetmeat.
He was accompanied by Assistant Director, CA&PD, Tehsildars, Assistant Controller, Legal Metrology, Tehsil Supply Officer (TSO), and Designated officer, Food Safety and carried out the inspections of Restaurants, Dhabas and shops for maintaining the wholesome quality of food items and also for checking of rates to avoid any overcharging and adulteration.
It was informed that the District Administration in a meeting to make necessary arrangements for Navratra Festivals/ Dussehra/Diwali and Id-ul-fitr had directed the committee to carry out verification of price lists and checking of shops especially the cleanliness so that the quality of food items is maintained and general public does not face any difficulties during the festival days. |
