Jammu Sept 30: Members of all Backward Classes, Landless people, Gujjar - Bakkerwal Communities presently settled in upper reaches in different districts and have faced the havoc of hostile weather. According to spokesperson, a large number of people hailing from Varkarnala Chack, Makwal, Niki Tawi, Mandal, Sunjwana, Bashir Gujjar Basti , Balwol , Garkhal , Sandwa, Vijaypur khad, Uajj river Kathua,Chenab river, Mendhar, Poonch, Rajouri, Reasi, Udhampur and Doda led by the Chairmanship of Sheraz Ahmed Azharj demanded due compensation for damages houses alongwith their animals washed away in the flood with the constant rain on September 6. They alleged that during the recent hostilities of weather even the villages were washed away but still no sort of compensation have been given/paid by the state government. "Only some local leaders namely Choudhary Bashir Ahmed Khatana Provincial Secretary National Conference has come to their villages to share and express his sympathies and solidarity with them. Flood affected people also urged the state government to look into the matter and extend due help to them also. They also demanded from the state government to expedite relief and rehabilitation process as the winter is at hand. The protesters also warned the government fails to solve their problems within a week's time they'll take to roads to register their protest.
