Molvi Sahib's death deprives state services of a tall leader: Mufti | | | Early Times Report
Srinagar, Oct 1: Glowing tributes were paid to Molvi Iftikhar Hussain Ansari, who passed away on Tuesday, September 30th, at a party meeting here held to condole his death. The meeting was presided over by the party patron, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed. Others who participated in the meet include the party president, Mehbooba Mufti, Member of Parliament, Tariq Hameed Karra, all legislators, senior leaders, contesting candidates and large number of party workers, a PDP statement said. Speaking on the occasion, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed said the death of Molvi Sahib is a great loss to the party. Describing Molvi Sahib as a friend in adversity Mufti said his departure not only serves a blow to the party but also deprives the political scene of the state of the services of a tall and outstanding leader. Mufti said Molvi Sahib was friend on whom he counted for advice and support and he felt a vacuum created by his departure. He, however, expressed confidence that Molvi Imran Raza Ansari and other members of the family would carry forward the legacy of Molvi Sahib and continue their services towards the community and society at large. |
