Distributes assessment forms in Habba Kadal, Amira Kadal
BJP misleading people for vote bank politics

SRINAGAR, Oct 1: State unit of BJP is distributing forms particularly in Kashmir valley to the flood victims. The Early Times is in a possession of such forms which is boldly written as BJP assessment of damaged properties due to flood Constituency Habba Kadal and Amira Kadal. The forms are signed by one Ashok Kumar Bhat vice president central Kashmir BJP along with mobile number 9419013286 .
The form has column like name, ration card, ward no, approximate loss etc. The column approximate loss is significant as whosoever will fill the loss, is BJP going to compensate from its own fund? While entire nation is concerned about rescue, relief and rehabilitation process, state functionaries of BJP are exploiting the situation for their vote bank politics in Kashmir valley.
They have been distributing assessment of damaged properties due to flood, forms in Amira Kadal and Habba Kadal constituencies asking the people to fill them up with accumulated losses with an object that the monetary relief will reach them directly from central authority.
The sufferers in these constituencies were confused as to what authority is vested with the political parties to directly get the central monetary aid to the victims of recent floods. Fayaz Ahmed, who belongs to Habba Kadal questioned the intentions of the political party and without mincing words said that this process is directly related to exploiting the sentiments of marooned people for electoral gains as the state is said to go for Assembly polls in next two months.
Another resident of the area Owais in an interaction with this correspondent said that the party leaders to sympathize and help the people in distress should have come with relief packets and distributed them that would have been a practical measure to apply balm on the emotional wounds on the suffers but unfortunately they have adopted the methodology which clearly implies their dubious political designs. Dr Hina Bhat, a BJP contesting candidate from Amira Kadal was taken by surprise and said that I am personally not aware of such forms which are being distributed in the constituency.
She further said that no party can give directly any relief; it has to go through some agency. The Central Government has clearly given directions to state administration on relief and rehabilitation process and no individual can do it on its own and that too by distributing the forms of a political party. I am myself working in my constituency to help my people as much as I can.
