PHE Employees Asso highlights problems of its cadre | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Oct 1: Representatives including Presidents and General Secretaries (Office Bearers) of all the Provincial Units of the Water Works (PHE) Employees Association, Jammu Province today held a meeting at Jammu under the chairmanship of Shiv Kumar Sharma- the J&K State President of Indian National Trade Union Congress (INTUC), who is also Provincial President of the Water Works (PHE) Employees Association, Jammu Province to discuss various issues of PHE employees. According to spokesperson of organization, the representatives various districts of Jammu province as Kishtwar, Doda, Ramban, Reasi, Udhampur, Poonch, Rajouri, Kathua, Samba, and Jammu attended the meeting and highlighted the problems and hurdles being faced in various divisions of the department. The speakers highlighted the demands of employees including non-payment of the overdue wages of the Daily Wagers and etc. Addressing the participants in meeting prominent trade unionist Shiv Kumar Sharma endorsed the views of all the speakers and urged upon the PHE authorities to release the pending wages of daily wagers, especially keeping in view the recent devastation in the floods and landslides. He also appealed to the state government to regularize those who have completed seven years of service. He also reiterated the demand regular DPC meeting for various cadre. Speakers urged that the time bound promotion / Quasi permanent orders be issued in favour of eligible employees and the entries of the same in the service books be maintained regularly. |
