Kishtwar, Oct 16 : Even after fourteen months of the communal clash that broke out in Kishtwar town on August 9, 2013, and claimed the lives of three persons, besides causing massive damages to public and government property, the riot victims not only cry foul in terms of release of compensation as was promised to them by the Omar Abdullah-led coalition government, but those who lost their family members also feel betrayed as the government has failed to provide them jobs under SRO-43 as was promised to them by none other than the Chief Minister himself.
Danish Bashir Moochi, who lost his father in the Kishtwar violence, is running from pillar to post to get himself absorbed in government service under SRO-43. Danish's father, an employee in PHE department, was killed while he was returning home after giving Eid greetings to his sister. Since then the government as well as PHE department have failed to absorb him under SRO-43. Though he has been running from pillar to post, each time the senior officials give him one or other reason for the delay in making his appointment.
As per the details available with "Early Times", PHE department Kishtwar in his letter to Chief Engineer PHE Department Jammu vide letter No. HDK/2103-05 Dated 6-08-2014 stated that Kishtwar PHE Division has no vacancy for making compensatory appointment of Danish Bashir Moochi, son of late Bashir Ahmed Moochi of Sangrabata, Kishtwar. After receiving the letter, Chief Engineer PHE Department Jammu vide his letter No. PHEJ/GE/8097 dated 1-9-2014 directed Superintendent Engineer, Hydraulic Circle Doda to send detail of vacancy of jobs lying in Division under his jurisdiction so that the compensatory appointment of Danish Bashir could be made, but even after the lapse of over one month, Superintendent Engineer, Hydraulic Circle Doda has failed to comply with the order of Chief Engineer PHE Department Jammu; thus causes further delay in making appointment.
Talking to "Early times", Danish's family members said that government has not only delayed the appointment process of his son but has also failed to initiate the action against the accused in Bashir's murder. They said that family members even visited the home of local minister as well as officials of the district administration, but nothing was done so far by them. They said the killers of riot victims were roaming free despite the fact the local court has issued warrants against them U/S 512 Cr.Pc. They said that the accused allegedly involved in murder of Bashir Ahmed are regularly visiting government offices, markets and public functions. They demanded immediate adjustment of Danish and arrest of the accused so that justice could be done with the deceased.
