Jammu, Oct 19 Jodhamal Public School today celebrated its 10th Annual Sports Day on Sunday. The dignitaries present on this Mega event were Dr Ashok Bhan, Former Director General of Police & presently the Member of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board, as the Chief Guest and Sh. Nandan Kuthiala, Chairman of the School as the Guest of Honour. The event formally started with lighting of torch, followed by March Past by Jodhamal Scouts & Guides and a welcome speech by the Head Girl, Raggad Rafiq. The Principal in his speech welcomed the guests, parents and all the students. Mr Bist said today is a day when students are freed from the classroom to jump and run around. It is a day for mothers to wear their best and fathers to cheer their wards. It is a day when children who may struggle with academic subjects, show that they can run faster and jump higher than anyone else. The students showcased their multifaceted talents in the many events like 200 Meters Race, 4 x 100 Meters Relay Race, Fireman Lift, Lemon Spoon Race, Hurdle Race, Swimming, Sack Race and Let Us Go to the School. An array of Rainbow colours and eloquence was displayed via the Football Dance and Aerobics. A well synchronized Martial Arts demonstration by the Taekwondo students added charm to the show. The event had a spectacular closure speech, by the Chief Guest, Dr Ashok Bhan. Speaking on the occasion, Dr Bhan said that he was delighted to watch the synchronized March past parade and other athletic activities As a gesture of his gratitude, Nandan Kuthiala, Chairman of the School presented a beautiful memento to the Chief Guest. At the culmination of this Mega event, everyone was entranced with the soothing pious Shlok sung by Nandini Kapoor of Class 10th, which was then followed by the National Anthem. |
