Kathua, 19 October: Even as Prime Minister launched cleanliness drive, the Kathua Secretariat building remains dirty and shabby. The complex is covered with weeds office waste which can be seen from the grills. It is unfortunate that PM's message of cleanliness and hygienic surrounding has been ignored. The PM said that the campaign should not be seen as a mere photo opportunity. However, union government trying its best to carry the cleanliness drive effectively across the country but it seems to have no takers in Kathua. The urban component of the mission is proposed to be implemented over 5 years starting from October 2, 2014 in all 4,041 statutory towns. The total expected cost of the programme is Rs 62,009 crore, out of which the proposed central assistance will be of Rs 14,623 crore", if similar apathetic approach is priority of the administration, then it is sure the day will never come to see when Kathua Sectariate will be emancipated from the garbage/office waste. One side Prime Modi is wielding a broom with his own hand in roads and streets in a Valmiki Basti and in a Police station on the launching day of Cleanliness Drive in Delhi, then why Kathua administrators gets hesitated to make clean the Kathua. |
