Akhnoor, Oct 19: A medical camp regarding the diagnosis and management of cardiovascular disease was organized today at Darbar Shri Mathwar Nagri. According to press release, 400 hundred patients were attending during the camp and free medicine had distributed to them. The camp was organized under the supervision of Dr. Sushil Sharma, Head Department of Cardiology, GMC, Jammu along with a team of Doctors which comprised of Dr. Nasir, Dr. Mohi Kalsotra, Dr. D. Kapoor, Dr. Arjun Singh, Dr. Shahbaz, Dr. Atul and supporting staff including Waryam Singh, Kashmir Singh, Ram Rattan, Laxmi and Scientist Cum Social Activist Dr. Vivak Arya. While examining and treating the patients Dr. S K Sharma stressed upon to create awareness about risk factors like Hypertension, Diabetes, hyperlipidaemia , Obesity, sedentary life style and use of tobacco products so that cardiovascular diseases are prevented which are alarmingly increasing day by day and is quite disturbing. Baba Yashpal Sharma appreciated the painstaking efforts of the doctors and showered his divine blessings upon Dr. Sushil Sharma and his team and hope that in future such camps will be beneficial for the people of this area. |
