Srinagar, Oct 19: In a taped phone call which has gone viral on whatsApp, Congress leader Vikar Rasool Wani is heard abusing senior National Conference leader Akbar Lone just to take credit of giving Sub-District status to an area of his constituency. "F***k their mothers, they weren't even aware that it will be given Sub-District status. Me, Sham Lal Sharma and Deputy Chief Minister fought with them (National Conference) otherwise their Minister Akbar Lone (B**tard) was opposing it." Vikar Rasool wani in 6 minute long audio aggressively responds to the caller who informers the minister about the hoisting of black flags by the National Conference activists. Caller, Hanief, apparently a senior leader of the Indian National Congress party thanks the minister for putting his efforts in approving the Sub-district status for the area. He further says that he has told the people that the minister was more helpful than Senior Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad. "Sir, don't worry I will motive all of them. I told them Vikar Shab had in advance told me about it but kept it as secret fearing they (NC activists) might not claim and get credit of it," caller, Hanief assures the minister. Another caller, Beju assures the minister that none of the villager greeted the National Conference leader in the area only people watched him from far of places including streets. Minister assures the caller that they will get all the facilities. "Number is district after it is Sub-district and then comes tehsil, now due to this sub-district status you will get sub-district hospital and all other facilities. So I am visiting tomorrow there arrange a reception for me there" Minister says the caller. The state cabinet Thursday approved creation of nine sub-divisions, 50 tehsils, 99 niabats and 63 CD blocks on the recommendations of the expert committee, led by Khurshid Ahmed Ganai, constituted to examine the feasibility/demands for creation of new administrative units in the left out areas. Vikar Rasool Wani, congress leader is Minister of State for Technical Education, Power, CAPD and Information in Omar Abdullah's cabinet while as Mohammad Akbar Lone of National Conference is Higher Education Minister. Difference among the collation partners over the issue of new administrative units can be gauged from the tapped phone call. |
