| Distt Kabaddi Tournament concludes in Samba | | | Early Times Report
Vijaypur, Oct 20: District Level Kabaddi Tournament organized under the aegis of District Kabaddi Association, Samba concluded here today at Unique Public Higher Secondary School-Jatwal. A large number of locals and eminent citizens were present on the concluding ceremony.
Mubarak Singh-District Development Commissioner (DDC), Samba was the chief guest on the occasion and gave away prizes to the Winner and Runner Up Teams, besides to other participants.
While his valedictory speech, he advised the students and players on the occasion to take part in sport and other extra-curricular activities which definitely ensure all round development of the students. He also appreciated the role of President-District Kabaddi Association - Krishan Singh Sambyal and Vinod Sharma - Secretary of Association and teams which participated and displayed a good team spirit. Atleast twenty teams from various government and private schools participated in the tournament and the final match was played between Nav Vidya Higher Secondary School-Dhalote and Unique Public Higher Secondary School-Jatwal at the venue of tournament. Nav Vidya Higher Secondary School-Dhalote lifted the trophy by defeating their rivals. The Sarpanches/Panches, Prominent Persons and large number of locals present on this occasion also have lauded the organizers to hold such an event to explore talent of youths of area. |
