Asif Iqbal Naik Kishtwar, Oct 24: Continuing its drive against absenteeism in Kishtwar District, particularly in rural areas, Tehsildar Marwah on the direction of Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Mohammed Jared Khan during a surprise inspection of various offices in Newly created Sub Division Marwah of Kishtwar District found several employees absent from duty and brought the matter into the notice of Deputy Commissioner Kishwtar. While talking to Early Times, a senior official in Kishtwar administration said that due to some communication gap, the officials in Marwah sub Division did not carry out inspection on 16th of this month when over 150 employees were found absent from duties in many parts of the District. He said a fresh wireless message No. 280/TM was flashed to Marwah and accordingly a surprise check was conducted in various government offices on 18th of this month in which more than 20 employees were found absent from duties, added that few among them hardly attended their duties throughout the year. As per the order of DC Kishtwar passed vide No.DCK/ADM/14/2337-42, dated 22-10-2014, he placed them under suspension with immediate effect. Those who were found absent from duty were identified as Junior Assistant RDD Pushkar Nath, VLW Manzoor Ahmed, MPW Ghulam Nabi Lone, VLW Abdul Fatah Malik, Supervisor Social Welfare Jamila Akhtar, ReT Irshad Ahmed posted at Primary School Haynan, Headmaster High School Changer Sajjad Ahmed, Roshan Arra Teacher Rahar, Master Ghulam Mohiud Din posted at High School Dherna, TSO Marwah Abdul Majid, Ghulam Rasool Danak, Narayan Das, Abdul Rashid Malik all Helper in CAPD, Lucky Parihar, Rishi Parihar both OT CHC Navpachi, Lalita Devi, X-Ray Technician CHC Navpachi, Vinay Dhar, Pharmacist CHC Navpachi, Rashid Iqbal, MPWH sub center Pathgaam, Nazira Banoo, FMPHW Sub Center Yurdoo, Prabha Devi FMPHW Sub Center Changer, Ghulam Hussain and Ghulam Rasool both Pharmacist at Sub Center Teller.Locals hailed the efforts of DC Kishtwar in curbing the menace of absenteeism in rural areas of the District particularly in Marwah area where majority of the government offices either remain closed or are functional at District headquarter. They also demanded immediate shifting of offices of Marwah Division so that local people get benefits at their door step. Similarly many offices of Warwan and Nagsini also function from Kishtwar for several years. |
