VIJAYPUR, Oct 24: Ex-Minister and Congress leader Manjit Singh today levelled serious allegations of discrimination and partiality against another ex-minister and National Conference (NC) leader Surjeet Singh Salathia.
Salathia is presently MLA from Vijaypur Constituency and has already been declared as NC candidate for forthcoming assembly elections. Manjit Singh, who is Congress leader today went all guns blazing after Salathia and levelled serious allegations on Salathia. He said that many areas in Vijaypur Constituency are under-developed even as Crores of rupees have been spent on black topping and other construction works in Bari Brahmana.
Singh, who was speaking before the hundreds of people in village Badi Khad sought probe into the works being taken up and done in Badi Khad, Mean Charkan and other adjoining areas of Bari Brahmana. Singh after hearing the grievances of the locals alleged that as far as connectivity and water supply was concerned, the local MLA has ignored several areas.
"Water supply has been restored after 15 to 20 days in Badi Khad locality and it had hit the normal life badly due to the discriminatory approach of the departments as well as the arrogant attitude of local MLA," Singh alleged.
