Gear up for elections, script history: Hamid | PDP to establish 'rule of law' | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Oct 25: Asking party workers to pull up their socks up for coming assembly elections, People's Democratic Party (PDP) leader and Chief Election Coordinator for Jammu Province, Abdul Hamid Choudhary today said that people of the state were fed up of poor governance and are prepared to script a history. This opportunity must be utilized to give people a viable alternative to the 'Failed Forces' who did nothing for people of the state but only became hurdles in development of J&K. Had the coalition government worked effectively, Jammu and Kashmir would have been on the path of progress to the extent that industries would have made their presence in a big way, tourism got a fillip and jobs created to meet the rising demand. The state could also have become self reliant and lessened its dependency on other financial assistances. However, those sitting at the helm of affairs failed people of J&K State in a big way. Choudhary Hamid said that time has come to translate party patron Mufti Mohammad Sayeed and party chief Mehbooba Mufti's dreams into reality and give people a stable, accountable and transparent government to establish 'rule of law' here. The kind of lawlessness that is prevailing here has created a free for all situations wherein round balls are being put in square pegs. Corrupt and illiterate are finding their ways to the top slots in administration only because government lacks accountability. |
