JAMMU, Oct 25: A two day long Gatka Refresher camp was inaugurated at Baba Fateh Singh Gurdwara Singh Sahib Gandhi Nagar Jammu today by Jammu & Kashmir Gatka Association collaboration with District Gurdwara Prabandak Committee Jammu.
Dalip Singh was the Chief Guest while Attar Singh Chairman Logistics Pvt. Ltd was Guest of Honour. Er Manmeet Singh Amn Chairman JKGA, Jammu, Ravinder Singh President JKGA, Jammu and Manjit Singh General Secretary DGPC, Jammu were also present on the occasion.
In his address, Dalip Singh congratulated JKGA for initiating an effort to organize this Gatka refresher camp. He hoped that the youth participating in this camp will learn about the technicalities of ancient folk form Gatka and will also be enlightened about the historical, cultural and religious impact of this sports event.
While speaking on the occasion, Attar Singh, laid the stress upon the need to promote and publicize much effective and worldly popular new sports event Gatka. |
