JAMMU, Oct 25: The 29-member state shooting team, under the banner of J&K Rifle Association (JKRA), today left for participation in the 34th North Zone Shooting Championship to be held at Dr Karni Singh Shooting Range in New Delhi from October 26 to November 2. The championship is being organized by the National Rifle Association of India wherein teams from Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Chandigarh, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi and Jammu and Kashmir hall compete for the top honours in three different events of .177 Air Rifle, Air Pistol and .22 rifle events in both men and women sections. Earlier, the selected probable underwent a brief coaching camp held at Delhi Public School Shooting Range under the supervision of Deepika Singh. The Team: Sunmoon Singh, Abhay Gupta, Sangram Singh, Kalhan Bhat, Riga (all DPS Jammu), Digvijay Singh (Jammu), Sunmoon Singh ( (Rajouri),Saumya Saxena and Shreya Saxena (both from APS Kaluchak), Vijay Kumar (J&K Police), Ranjit Chopra, Angad Walia ( both from APS Udhampur), Sahil Sharma (University of Jammu), Dhir Singh (Samba), Manish Kumar (Akhnoor), Shanker Gupta (Jammu),Aman Singh (Akhnoor), Anil Sharma, Tarun Dev Singh Jamwal, Ikjyot Singh, Karanveer Singh, Vibas Gupta, Anubha Suryavashi, Harshdeep Singh and Anu Sharma (Kathua). Surjeet Singh accompanied the team as coach and Sukhbir Singh as manager. |
