JUVC distributes certificates to SGs after orientation under Star Scheme of NSDC

Jammu, Oct 30: Prof Mohan Paul Singh Ishar, the Vice Chancellor of University of Jammu distributed certificates of participation to the unarmed security guards of Jammu University who were trained and passed the assessment conducted by the third party assessor under STAR scheme of National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), Govt. of India.
Atleast 160 hours of training was conducted in the month of June and July under the STAR scheme of National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), Govt. of India and 30 participating trainees were awarded with monetary reward, Certificates and prizes on their successful completion of orientation training. While awarding certificates to trainees, Prof Ishar in his address mentioned about the post training quality improvements, congratulated his security personnel and reiterated the importance of skill training.
Chief guest Maj Gen (Retd) D K Jamwal CEO of Security Sector Skill Development Council in his address thanked Vice Chancellor of University of Jammu for giving his security staff a life time chance for this type of training.
He described in brief the current situation of skill development in India- need and its profit. Col Balbir Singh, Principal Training and Delivery of Security Sector Skill Development Council also shared the dais with chief guest.
Registrar of University of Jammu Prof M K Dhar wished all candidates a successful future. Dean, Student's Welfare Prof Pankaj Srivastava took pride in organizing first ever such training for university security personnel.
Director of the Training Provider organization TS Skill and Tech Pvt Ltd Subrata Bhattacharya put emphasis on the social upliftment of the trainees post skill development. CSO of University of Jammu Capt S R Dubey thanked everybody and expressed his happiness over the quality development of his staff after the training.
