JKAACL organises multi-lingual Kahani Goshthi | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 30, The Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages in collaboration with Govt. College for women Parade, Jammu organised a multi-lingual Kahani Gosthi programme in the auditorium of the college.. Former Secretary of the Academy and renowned artist, writer, intellectual Prof. Rita Jatindra presided whereas Anjali Sharma I/C Director Doordarshan and Lalit Magotra promineint Dogri Scholar, Short Story Writer and critics were chief guest and guest of honour respectively. Arvinder Singh Amn Additional Secretary of the Academy also shared the presidium. Rita Jatindra in her address extended gratitude to J&K Cultural Academy for holding multi-lingual Kahani Goshthi in the college for the students and also providing an opportunity to be a part of this literary event. She also hoped that through this multi-lingual Kahani Goshthi, some of the students present in the auditorium will get inspired and will be future short story writers. Lalit Magotra speaking on the occasion appreciated the role of the Academy. He said that the fast changing time scenario has compelled the change in working trends in the society. He further exaggerated that the steps taken by the Academy to reach to the youth for the promotion of Art, Culture and Languages deserves appreciation. Speaking on the occasion Anjali Sharma, Director Doordarshan also appreciated the role of Academy especially with changing trends in doing programmes by the J&K Cultural Academy especially by Dr. Arvinder Singh Amn on assumption of the Chair of Additional Secretary in Jammu. Earlier Arvinder Singh Amn, in his welcome address, said that recognising the pulse of the fast changing time in the society, new trends have been adopted in executing the programmes. The Academy is trying to penetrate the instinct of talent of creative writing through reaching the young generation. |
