DEO Kishtwar imposes ban on carrying licensed weapons | | | Kishtwar, Oct 30: As a part of Law and Order related matter, District Election Officer (DEO) Kishtwar Mohammad Javed Khan today order for imposition of ban on carrying licensed weapons within the jurisdiction of Kishtwar District and the same will be in place till the election process will be completed. As per the details available with "Early Times", DEO Kishtwar who is also Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar vide order No. ENT/K/14/3049 Dated 30-10-2014 stated that a number of people are holding Arms licenses of guns /pistols/revolvers in the District and carrying theses licensed weapons from one place to the other which is likely to be detrimental to the public peace and may disturb the law and other in the District.DEO Kishtwar in his order of imposing of ban on carrying of Licensed weapons stated that the Assembly Election 2014 for Jammu & Kashmir have been announced and Polls are scheduled on 25th of November in District Kishtwar as result of which the political activities have stepped up and the public rallies and meeting are also going to be organized, added that in order to prevent any untoward incident regarding the disturbance of public peace, tranquility, law and order situation, it is expedient to take the precautionary measures in the interest of general public. |
