| SDM Basohli chairs all party meet | | | KATHUA, Oct 31: A meeting was held at SDM Office where representatives of all political parties were present. The meeting was chaired by Returning Officer (RO) Basohli Assembly Segment SDM Gurmukh Singh here at Basohli today.While addressing the meeting RO imparted the knowledge of model code of conduct and its provision. He directed the political parties not to display hoardings, banners and posters at public places and government buildings.
He said that under single window system every political party or candidate have to seek prior permission of rallies, election advertisement materials etc from the returning officer or district election officer. He told that flying squads has been constituted to receive the complaints against the political parties and complaint redressal cell has been constituted to receive the complaints against any political parties or candidate which have violated the model code of conduct or any other election rules issued by Election Commission of India. |
