PDP's PAC Meet: PDP announces party mandate for left out segments | Rangeel from Bishnah, Chaman from Raipur-Domana, Wani from Eidgah | | Early Times Report
Srinagar, Oct 31: The Political Affairs Committee (PAC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) met here today under the chairmanship of the party Patron Mufti Mohammad Sayeed and party leadership deliberated on various issues concerning the upcoming Assembly polls in the State. During the meeting party leaders also finalized and announced mandates for the left-over Assembly segments including Jammu region for the upcoming polls. The meeting was attended by PAC members and Party MP Mehbooba Mufti, Muzaffar Hussain Baigh -MP, Tariq Hameed Karra-MP, Sardar Rangil Singh, Mohammad Dillawar Mir, T S Bajwa, Qazi Mohammad Afzal, Dr Haseeb Drabu, Vikramaditya Singh, Yashpal Sharma, Syed Altaf Bukhari and Dr Sameer Kaul. Participating members and party senior leadership, while paying glowing tributes to Late Moulvi Iftikhar Hussain Ansari and recalled his contribution to the society in general and the party in particular. Members observed that the vacuum created by the demise of Moulvi Iftikhar Ansari would be difficult to fill and also paid tributes to late party leader. Members unanimously decided that Moulvi Imran Ansari would be anointed as a member of the PAC. The meeting also finalized and announced mandates for the left-over Assembly segments for the upcoming polls. According to the PAC decision Chaman Manyal will the PDP's contesting candidate from Raipur-Domana constituency, Dev Raj Bhaghat from Akhnoor, Madan Lal from Chhamb, Subhash Sharma from Kathua, Suraj Prakash from Hira Nagar, Joy Singh from Billawar, S Rangeel Singh from Bishnah, Mohammad Salim Lone from Bani, Noor Mohammad from Batamaloo (Srinagar), Ali Mohammad Wani from Eidgah (Srinagar) and Javaid Beigh from Baramulla assembly segment. |
