Director HPM violates HC order, refuses to leave Udyog Bhawan

Jammu, Oct 31: In an apparent contempt of High Court orders, staying transfer of Director Industries and Commerce Dr. Abdul Rashid had restrained functioning of Dr. Showkat Ahmad Zargar, Director Horticulture, Planning and Marketing (HPM), latter has reportedly refused to leave Udyog Bhawan Bahu Plaza, in which officer of Director Industries is housed.
Sources informed Early Times that today morning, Dr. Showkat Ahmad Zargar, who is Director HPM was found present in the Udyog Bhawan Bahu Plaza. "Instead of sitting in the office of Director Industries and Commerce, Dr. Showkat Ahmad Zargar, had mysteriously got the keys of the office of Minister for Industries Sajjad Ahmad Kichloo where he retired for nearly two hours", sources said.
The department of Horticulture, Planning and Marketing, falls under the Ministry of Horticulture, portfolio of which is under Raman Bhalla, and the presence of Dr. Showkat Ahmad Zargar in the official chamber of Minister for Industries, signaling towards the violations of HC order.
"In the morning, an information reached Udyog Bhawan, according to which Minister for Industries Sajjad Ahmad Kichloo was visiting Udyog Bhawan and Showkat Ahmad Zargar was given the charge of office of Minister Chamber, which was opened", sources said, adding that after few hours, the visit of Minister was reportedly cancelled, following which Dr. Showkat Ahmad Zargar also left the office.
Pertinently, High Court had slammed the Government and stayed the transfer order of Director Industries Dr. Abdul Rashid who was shifted within three months of his posting as Director of Industries Department for Jammu region. Rashid was transferred on October 21, 2014 allegedly after he had exposed a land allotment scandal involving crores of rupees and with allegations being leveled against a Minister and a businessman of Jammu.
