Jammu, Oct 31: Bharat Scouts & Scouts organised 3 day Pravesh, Pratham & Tritya Sopan Scouts & Guides Camp at Lawrence Public School, Panjtirthi. Students from various classes attended this camp. The camp started with the welcoming of the Scouts & Guides trainers by Mrs. Shakuntla Joshi, Principal Lawrence Public School. She while welcoming highlighted the importance of Scouts & Guides as part of Non-formal education. The students participated in lots of fun filled learning activities during this training camp. They were briefed about the history of the scouting moment & law promises, knowledge of patrol, health rules (Baden Powell's 6), tying of knots, pitching of tents, knowledge of first aid, mapping, pioneering & sign language. The training camp was conducted under the guidance of R.P Kotwal (L.T scouts), K.L Sharma (HWB scouts), Manjeet Kour (Guide Captain), Kanchan Sharma (Guide Captain). Later the students were blessed by Shri. I.D Soni, State Commissioner & Wg Cdr M.M Joshi, Zonal Commissioner. |
