Vakil sends legal notice to Early Times, says not his voice
Early Times Report
Srinagar, Nov 17: A day after alleged obscene telephonic conversation of a senior Congress leader, Abdul Gani Vakil with a girl went viral in Kashmir, Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee chief Prof Saif-ud-DinSoz today sought the details of the matter.
Talking to Early Times Prof Soz said, "I am seeking details and we are looking into the matter. I believe Police have not registered any FIR in this regard."
When contacted Vakil said, "There are many Vakils in the poll fray. How can you say it's my voice? There is no mention of my name in the audio clip you are talking about.
The audio clip received by Early Times purported to be of Abdul Gani Vakil reveals that Vakil has crossed all limits of decency while talking to a girl who wants him to adjust her somewhere.
"Hello. How are you? You called me after such a long time?" Vakil asks the girl.
"I was busy as we are constructing a house and harvest season is on," the girl replies.
"I had asked you to visit my place but you didn't come?" Vakil asks.
"Had you adjusted me somewhere, I would have come but you haven't done anything," the girl says.
"You visit my place first and let's come closer. Once we become close all the matters would be sorted out," Vakil says.
"Everyone is saying that Vakil sahib will win the elections this time that's why I am telling you to adjust me somewhere," the girl says.
Vakil insists that girl should visit his place as soon as possible. "I will visit your place in first week of November," the girl says.
"It will be too late," Vakil replies.
"Only 14-days are left for October to end," the girl replies. "Why did you disconnect the phone?" Vakil asks the girl. "Why don't you talk to me frankly?" Vakil asks the girl. "I am hearing such things for the first time," the girl replies.
Vakil doesn't shy away from asking the girl the colour of her private parts. "Is it necessary to reveal it?" the girl says.
"If you tell me the colour I will be happy," Vakil insists. "You would have seen it. Its wooden colour," the girl says.
Vakil has a good laugh and asks her how dear he is to her. The girl swears by him. "When will you come to my place?" Vakil asks again.
The girl says, "Within three days." "It's good. If you are coming I will get that thing which doesn't cause any problem. Should I get it," Vakil asks the girl.
Vakil asks the girl does she remember her anytime. "Everytime!" replies the girl. "I am not forcing you. If you are interested then we will go ahead," Vakil says.
Like a teenage boy Vakil says, "Once we get closer I won't be able to stay away from you. Okay kiss me."
Girl in a hesitant tone "kisses" him and swears by him as Vakil asks her to address him as her husband. "Everyone says that Vakil sahib adjusts people. I hope you will help me," the girl tells Vakil.
"You meet me first and let's celebrate," Vakil says. "Can't we celebrate after you adjust me?" the girl asks Vakil. "Everything will be sorted out after you visit my place. How many times should we do it after we meet," says Vakil. The girl replies, "As you wish."
Vakil asks the girl what time she would give him a miss call, the girl replies, "You can call me anytime."
Unnerved by the Early Times Report which was carried in Monday's edition Abdul Gani Vakil sent a legal notice to this newspaper on late this evening threatening to file a defamation case against the Early Times.
Meanwhile, the senior PDP leader and the party's contesting candidate from Pattan assembly segment, Molvi Imran Ansari Monday demanded an immediate resignation of the Congress leader Abdul GaniVakil.
Ansari demanded that the case should be registered against him for obscene and immoral talk with unemployed Kashmiri girl.
"Police should take suo-moto cognizance and should register a case against him on moral grounds. They are always in a search to take such dirty/immoral type of advantages by remaining in power," Ansari added.
