JAMMU, Nov 20: State Tug of War teams today left for participation in the 16th Sub-Junior, 27th Junior and 27th Senior Women National Championships to be held at Chaterpati Shivaji Stadium, Sangli in Maharashtra from November 23 to November 26.
Before their departure, the teams underwent a screening test conducted by the J&K State Sports Council. Earlier, the teams were selected by the penal of selectors under the guidance of president, J&K Tug of War Association, Hardeep Singh Anand.
The teams are accompanied by Gourav Dubey, Sourav Chopra and Darshan Kour as coaches.
The Teams:
Sub-Junior Women: Gurleen, Sonam, Sandeep, Shruti, Kajal, Natalia, Baljeet, Kavleen and Priyanka. Junior Women: Monica, Sheetal, Neha, Manpreet, Tavleen, Tania, Sapna, Menu and Chanda Rani. Senior Women: Sheetal, Kamini, Sonia, Suman, Usha, Gagandeep, Parvinder, Neha and Rimpy. |
