PDP committed to change peoples' destiny: Bhasin

Jammu, Nov 20 : Seeking support of the people to change present corrupt and inept system, PDP candidate for Jammu West Assembly segment Daman Bhasin today said vote in favour of PDP would intensify the campaign for change in Jammu and Kashmir.
"PDP under the leadership of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed and Mehbooba Mufti has already launched a campaign to throw out the present corrupt dispensation", Mr Bhasin said while addressing a function to welcome Congress general secretary Vinod Sharma who has recently joined PDP along with his supporters. On this occasion manty Cong and NC leaders joined PDP.
"Attaining power is not the only aim of PDP.
We, with the support of the people, want to change the present ineffective system", he said and added that it was aim of the PDP to establish a system where every sections of the society would get equal opportunities of development and upliftment.
Terming PDP as a movement to change destiny of the people, he said that his party has emerged as strong and credible voice of the people of Jammu and Kashmir because common masses have faith on this party.
"The pro people visionary agenda of the party is formulated by incorporating wishes and aspirations of all sections of the society and we never compromised with our agenda for attaining power", he said and reminded when PDP-Congress coalition was formed in 2002, PDP's agenda was prominently incorporated in the Common Minimum Programme (CMP) of the government.
He said that present regime has failed to all fronts. He pointed out that instead of addressing woes of the common people this regime was more particular about befooling the people by one or other way.
He further regretted that common masses in the state have been struggling with number of problems but the members of the ruling coalition have been using state resources for their personal comforts.
Jagan Nath Sharma, Sikander Khan, Om Prakash, Jaipal, Ravinder Mishra, Jarmail Singh, Om Prakash Padha are prominent among tkose joined PDP.
Former MLA and President Mahila Wing Shanti Devi, Fallail Singh, Vinodf Sharma, R K Bali, Puneet Jamwal, Geeta Thakur and others also addressed the gathering.
