343 recruits passed out in BSF STC Udhampur

Udhampur, Nov 22: In an impressive attestation cum Passing out Parade held at Subsidiary Training Centre (STC) Border Security Force Udhampur a batch of 343 recruits passed out here today.
According to official spokesperson, the Attestation cum passing out parade was organized after the culmination of 44 weeks of rigorous basic training which has equipped them for performing duties on border and in counter insurgency operations. J C Singh, DIG, STC BSF Udhampur took the salute and congratulated Rajeshwar Singh, Commandant (Trg) and training staff as well as the recruits for putting up a commendable performance in the parade. In his address, he also emphasized the importance of hard work. He exhorted the new pass outs for showing dedication to duty and high degree of integrity while discharging duties on the border as well as in counter insurgency operations. DIG STC-BSF Mr Singh, congratulated the recruits for successfully completing their training and becoming full members of the BSF family. The parade was commanded by recruit's constable Nabendu Biswas, STC BSF in Udhampur. On this occasion winner constable Batch no. 152, Rakesh Deb Barma was awarded the overall 1st winner followed by runners up Prasenjit Das. Constable Rajesh Chakraborty was declared as Best in Drill, Constable Shiba Debnath was awarded for Best in Endurance and Constable Shekarul Hoque was awarded Best in Shooting during the pass out parade. In Batch no 153, pass out Primal Reang was awarded overall first rank followed by Suroj Sekh as second best. Constable Bikash Roy was awarded Best in Drill award, an award for Best in Endurance was awarded to constable Sushanta Debnath while Best in Shooting was presented to Constable Santosh Kumar Rai. All winning constables were awarded medals by the Chief Guest for their outstanding performances. Senior officers from army, air Force other CPMFs, Police and Civil Administration were also present on the occasion, the parade was also witnessed by family members of BSF personnel as well as of recruits.
