Today people from remote and far flung areas have revenue administration at their doorsteps. People of this state, particularly Doda constituency, are indebted to the son of soil Ghulam Nabi Azad who, as Health Minister in the Centre, had sanctioned a number of new health centres, Cancer Hospitals and Medical colleges in backward & hilly areas of the state. Today also, a number of NC and BJP workers joined Congress Party in presence of Abdul Majid Wani. Fifteen National Conference workers led by Ab. Gani, Hab Lal, Ab. Qyum and Annayatullah joined Congress at public rally in Pranu, whereas another four NC/ BJP workers viz., Budhi Singh, Saroop Krishan both from National Conference and Vinod Giri and Anil Kumar both from BJP joined Congress party at village Revarra.
