Kishtwar, Nov 23: A few days after the audio clip of an alleged sex talk of a senior Congress leader went viral in Kashmir, the BJP candidate, Tariq Hussain Keen from Inderwal constituency in Jammu's Kishtwar district has been caught on a wrong foot. The purported audio clip involving Keen and an unidentified woman talking sex over phone has created ripples in this frontier district. However, the BJP candidate has denied that it's his voice and has termed it as a conspiracy hatched by his opponents to tarnish his image. In the purported audio clip of 15 mins 54 seconds the alleged BJP candidate is heard seeking sexual favor from a woman in Gojri language and makes desperate attempts to convince her to "sleep with him." When contacted Tariq Hussain keen said that he was shocked to know about this "false allegation." "I am feeling deeply shocked and surprised after coming to know about the unethical cheapness and low level to which my political opponents have stooped in order to tarnish my image and to mislead the common people" said Keen. He said that this conspiracy has been hatched after the mind blowing success of PM Modi Kishtwar rally. "My political opponents are feeling frustrated as it has dawned upon them that BJP wave has swept Inderwal and defeat is staring at them. This mischievous conspiracy of maligning my image has been hatched just two days prior to voting day in order to mislead the people" said Keen. "I, Tariq Hussain Keen, BJP candidate from Inderwal, solemnly say it on oath (swearing by Allah and Holy Quran) that I have nothing to do with the alleged vulgar talk clip". He said that he would also take a legal recourse after completion of voting on November 25, beside would also lodge an FIR under relevant sections of IT act against the culprits for spreading misinformation and trying to malign his image by misusing internet, in order to harm him politically in elections. He said that he will lodge a formal complaint with the Election Commission of India and apart from filing the defamation suit in High Court. "I can understand their frustration but at least they shouldn't have forgotten ethics in this political contest" said Keen. He said that people of his constituency knows him very well and his character. "People of Inderwal will give a befitting reply to my political opponents on voting day," he claimed. |
