JAMMU, Nov 25: Tawi Trekkers Jammu and Kashmir shall organise an adventure cum heritage programme for school students in Dharamshalla area of Himachal Pradesh next month. This was disclosed by general secretary of the Club, Shawetica Khajuria here today. During the four-day programme, scheduled to start from December six, the budding trekkers would visit Macleodganj, the seat of His Holiness Dalai Lama, Bhagshunath, Tapovan, Chamunda, Dharamshalla and Nagini besides a visit to the sacred Jawalaji temple, and Kangra Fort. "The purpose of the programme is to expose young boys and girls to nature and national heritage and thereby imbibe in them the spirit of adventure and love of nature and their rich heritage," said Khajuria. It may be mentioned here that Tawi Trekkers J&K is a voluntary adventure sports and social organization whose only aim is to spread the spirit of adventure and love of nature amongst all strata of society without distinction of color, caste class or creed. |
