Rajouri, Nov 26 : On the day one of filing nominations, nineteen candidates filed nomination papers for four assembly constituencies of Rajouri district.
RO, Darhal informed that 6 nomination papers were filed by Mohd Iqbal Malik (Congress), Th Pura Singh (BJP), Ch Zulfikar Ali, sitting MLA (PDP), Manzoor Hussain covering candidate (PDP), Shraz Begam (BSP) and Muneer Hussain (independent).
Except Darhal constituency the offices of the Returning officers have been established at Tehsil headquarters i.e at Nowshera, Sunderbani and Kalakot. Candidates intending to contest from Darhal constituency are advised by the District Election Officer (DEO) to collect nomination forms from the office of Sukhdev Singh, ACR at Rajouri who is also RO of Darhal Constituency. Deepati Upaal, IAS Returning officer , Nowshera informed that on the first day five nomination papers were filed by the candidates who are identified as Rajinder Sharma (independent), Ravnider Raina (BJP), Adv Haq Nawaz (BSP), Surinder Chodhry (PDP) and National Conference (NC) sitting MLA Radhe Shyam.
Dr Basharat Hussian , RO Kalakot said that only two nomination papers were collected on the first day today and the candidates have been identified as Ashok Sharma former MLA (Congress) and Asad Bari Shah of People Democratic Party (PDP).
According to Yogesh Kesar, RO, Rajouri constituency, six candidates including 5 independents have filed the nomination papers. The candidates are Azaz Ahmed (PDP) , Ghulam Mustafa, Ghulam Rasool, Zaheer Charak,Nazir Ahmed Ganai and Liaqit Al all independent candidates. |
