Expenditure Observer conducts second inspection of spending by candidates | | | Early Times Report
Reasi, Nov 26: The second inspection of election expenditure registers of the contesting candidates of AC 58-Reasi assembly segment conducted on Wednesday. According to press release, the inspection was conducted in presence of election expenditure observer Mukesh Kumar Jain. Additional Deputy Commissioner Reasi-Shiv Kumar Gupta, Nodal Officer Expenditure Monitoring Cell-Mahesh Sharma and Assistant Expenditure Observer, representatives of various political parties and independent candidates were also present on the occasion. During the inspection, all the expenditures incurred by the contesting candidates and shown in their Expenditure Registers were thoroughly examined, inspected and compared with the Shadow Registers and folders of evidence maintained by the Central Accounting Team, assisted by the Accounting Teams, located at the Assembly levels. The deficiencies and lacunae were brought to the notice of candidates and election agents and same were recorded in the Shadow Registers for necessary reconciliation. Similar inspection was done for AC-57 Gulabgarh and AC-59- Gool Arnas on Tuesday and on spot notices were issued to candidates who failed to present expenditure before chair. Mukesh Kumar Jain asked the contesting candidates to correctly account for all the expenditures from the date of nomination to the date of declaration of the result of election, both dates inclusive, to facilitate submission of Expenditure Observer's final report after 30 days of declaration of results. |
