| BGSBU organizes National Conference on Computer Science, Information Technology | | | Early Times Report
RAJOURI, Nov 26: Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU) organized two day National Conference on Computer Science and Information Technology. The conference was organized to provide platform for the scholars, researchers, academicians and people from industries to interact and exchange ideas on the latest development in these fields.
The National Conference was organized by the authorities of BGSBU, under the supervision of Prof IA Hamal, Vice Chancellor (VC), in collaboration with Government of India and University Grants Commission (UGC).
Inaugurated by Prof I A Hamal, VC at the University Conference Hall, the National Conference was organized by Post Graduate Department of Information Technologies in collaboration with PG Department of Computer Sciences.
The Conference was supported by Science & Engineering Research Board (SERB) of India, Department of Science & Technology, Government of India, Department of IT, Ministry of Communications & IT, GoI and UGC. The conference brought together researchers and practitioners to deliberate upon the algorithmic, systemic, applied, social, and educational aspects of Information technologies. Dean Academic Affairs Prof AK Koul, Dean of Mathematical Sciences & Engineering Prof Mohammad Asghar, Controller Examination Mohammad Ishaq, Principal Polytechnic Col (Retd) KK Dogra, Special Secretary to VC Suneet Gupta, Chair Professor of Mahatma Gandhi Chair for Ecology and Environment Prof G H Dar and HoD of Management Studies, Prof SK Gupta besides other officers, faculty members, staff, students and scholars from various Universities were present at the inaugural function of the conference. Tasleem Arif, HoD IT, is the Organizing Secretary of the Conference, Dr Javaid Iqbal, Assistant Professor of Department of Mathematics is Conveyor of Registration while as Dr Sanjay Jamwal is looking after the publicity and press for the conference.
In the inaugural session, Prof Vijay Singh Rathore of Rajasthan presented keynote address while Dr Mohammad Abulaish of Jamia Milia Islamia presented talk on the topic.
In the 2nd technical session, Dr Rashid Ali of Aligarh Muslim University presented talk on innovations in Information Technology. Department publication was also released on the occasion.
Many scholars from various universities from India will present their research papers on recent innovations and advancement in IT. Appreciating the efforts of IT Department, Prof Hamal said, "We live in the information age in which IT has become a part of our everyday life. IT can perform enormous number of functions and operations that human can't, so everybody should know about the innovations in this field".
He added that BGSBU is trying to provide platform for researchers and academicians to think on these topics and create awareness among the people regarding the best use of information technology. |
