JMC seizes sub-standard material 11/26/2014 11:36:41 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 26: Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC)'s Veterinary Officer, Dr. Zafar Iqbal along with field staff today conducted a drive at Gandhi Nagar, Shastri Nagar, Trikuta Nagar, Gangyal, Satwari, Narwal, Kunjwani, and Jewel area. According to press release, while checking meat/chicken shops, 19 KG of substandard/unstamped meat has been discarded on spot and fine to the tune of Rs. 7400/- has been realized from the defaulters. The drive will remain continue in near future against all the food establishments/shopkeepers running in the market are strictly warned and directed to ensure the supply of good quality meat/chicken to the Citizens of Jammu City. Jammu Municipal Corporation appeals to all the Shopkeepers especially those dealing with meat/chicken products to maintain hygienic environment and make available quality products to the consumers and also appeals to all the Shopkeepers/vendors and citizens of city not to use polythene carry bags failing which action under rule shall be initiated against them.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
