JMC seizes sub-standard material | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 26: Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC)'s Veterinary Officer, Dr. Zafar Iqbal along with field staff today conducted a drive at Gandhi Nagar, Shastri Nagar, Trikuta Nagar, Gangyal, Satwari, Narwal, Kunjwani, and Jewel area. According to press release, while checking meat/chicken shops, 19 KG of substandard/unstamped meat has been discarded on spot and fine to the tune of Rs. 7400/- has been realized from the defaulters. The drive will remain continue in near future against all the food establishments/shopkeepers running in the market are strictly warned and directed to ensure the supply of good quality meat/chicken to the Citizens of Jammu City. Jammu Municipal Corporation appeals to all the Shopkeepers especially those dealing with meat/chicken products to maintain hygienic environment and make available quality products to the consumers and also appeals to all the Shopkeepers/vendors and citizens of city not to use polythene carry bags failing which action under rule shall be initiated against them. |
