Jammu, Nov 27: Stating that localities situated in the Jammu east Assembly segment lack proper sanitation and adequate sewage disposal, Congress candidate VikramMalhotra today promised to strive for providing better hygienic conditions to the people in old City. According to press release, he said that people needed better facilities, improved sanitary conditions, improved infrastructure and thus should elect legislator, whom they think can provide all this. "Since long Jammu east people have been living with what can be called as 'not even bare minimum' facilities provided by the state authorities. Sanitary conditions, as can be obviously sighted in the lanes and bye-lanes, are very poor; water supply pipes are damaged and pass through the drains carrying waste and filth," Malhotra said. "Are the people from Jammu east the lesser citizens? Why can't they have better sanitation and cleaner lanes and drains in the vicinity?" Malhotra, who conducted a door-to-door campaign in the localities of PaharianMohalla, Panjthirthi and JullakaMohalla, also assured the people, if voted to power, he will look into all the grievances enlisted by them He appealed the electorates to be judge by themselves and defeat the nefarious designs of parties with regional and divisive agendas. |
