Govt responsible for mis-governance in J&K: Waffa | | | Early Times Report
NAGROTA, Nov 27: Exhorting youth of Jammu region to become part of the campaign for change in the State, senior PDP leader, Vikramaditya Singh today said that PDP under the leadership of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed is committed to establish a new system of justice and equality in J and K. While addressing an impressive public meeting in Bagani Village in Nagrota Constituency in support of party contesting candidate, Choudhary Hussain Ali Wafaf, he said Mufti as Chief Minister had carved out a path of equitable and balanced development in the State. He reminded that special focus was given to the neglected and backward areas of Jammu region. He emphasised that if PDP comes into power the main focus of the party to launch comprehensive development in the backward and far-flung areas. PDP State Secretary and contesting candidate from Nagrota Assembly segment, Waffa, in his address, lashed out at the state government of allegedly failing to provide basic amenities to the people of Nagrota Assembly segment. He said "Nagrota constituency is still suffering due to lack of basic amenities like road connectivity, water, electricity and ration." Education and health sectors in this belt are in bad shape, he said, adding that even the students are also suffering due to staff shortage and lack of infrastructure in schools Waffa called upon the people to compare performance of PDP led government with the mis-governance of present government. He castigated the government for being responsible for mis-governance in the State. He said the people are losing faith in the government institutions and are not even getting the basic facilities. He said that it was only during his three year regime of PDP equal treatment was given to all regions and sub-regions of the State and promised that if party comes into power the many development and welfare schemes would be launched for the people of Nagrota constituency. Ex MLC Nizam Din Khatana, Ex MLC Ved Mahajan, Hameed Choudhary, Rashpal Singh Bitu, Rashid Malik, Kuldeep Sharma, Showkat Choudhary, Naseeb-ul-lah, Nanak Chand, Hassan Hussain and Razaq Choudhary were prominent among those who were present during the rally. |
