JAMMU, Nov 27: The 22-member contingent, including two officials, of University of Jammu shall depart for the upcoming North Zone Inter-University Football Tournament starting from November 29 at Punjab University, Chandigarh tomorrow.
However, the JU is scheduled to play in their opening match against Lucknow University on November 30 in this knock-out competition.
Earlier, Director Sports and Physical Education, JU, Prof Dhian Singh Bhau interacted with the selected boys, their officials and enquired about their preparedness for the competition ahead.
The Director was told by the team coach, Gagan Kumar that the boys underwent over a fortnight long coaching camp on the campus before their final selection. Gagan is accompanied by Arun Jasrotia as team manager.
