Gool-Arnas ignored by State Govt: DrJitendra 11/28/2014 11:35:26 PM Reasi, Nov 28: Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) DrJitendra Singh today said if GoolArnas still continues to remain undeveloped and backward is only due to deliberate neglect of this area for political considerations at the hands of successive governments in the State. Addressing public meetings at Judda ,Khanikot and other places in Gool-Arnas Assembly seat in Reasi district, Union Minister of State (Independent Charge), Dr Jitendra Singh said if even after 66 years of independence, GoolArnas continues to remain undeveloped and backward as they were before, in spite of hundreds of crores of rupees being pumped in through Central Funds, the reason is very simple that the successive governments in the State have deliberately ignored the area for political considerations. Addressing enthusiastic crowds at all these places, Dr Singh said, "The ruling parties, including Congress and National Conference, had their priorities elsewhere and they did not allow these regions to grow and people here could be kept perpetually deprived of the benefits of tourism, education and youth employment. Making a dig at those leaders who misguided these innocent people of far-flung areas by saying that a BJP government will be biased, Dr Singh said, these leaders should first be asked why, in that case, they make a beeline to present bouquets of flowers to Narendra Modi and seek to be in his good books. He said, "These leaders from various political parties today have constrains in election campaigning and are mischievously instigating the voter not to vote for Narendra Modi or his Party. He said time has come to install a government in the State which is fully accountable and is answerable to the people for each penny spent from the Central Grants. "But this is possible only if we have a BJP government in the State, he added.
