Govt draws flak on Arnia attack | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Nov 28: The infiltration of terrorists from across the border inArnia area and killing of five innocent people and army men by them is a serious security lapse on the part of Government. Various organizations have strongly condemned the attack and accused the Government of its total failure in checking the infiltration of armed desperados inside the Indian territory from across the border. These organizations including VHP, Shiv Sena, J&K Peoples Forum and Ram Sena while expressing their grave concern over the militants' strike asked the Union Government to snap the bilateral ties with Pakistan and take a tough stand against the country. Some organizations including JKPF and Shiv Sena have also demanded that Pakistan be declared a terrorist nation in view of it being the breeding ground of terrorism. Strongly condemning the attack VHP demanded a probe into the matter and questioned that how terrorists from across the border managed to take refuge into bunkers in Arnia village. Terming it a grave security lapse VHP patron, Dr Rama Kant Dubey said that a probe be ordered into the matter. He said India has been bleeding from years together due to Pak misadventures and it is high time that GoI should act decisively against it as repeated strikes by terrorists and violation of cease fire by Pakistan has scared the people in the border belt. He also urged the GoI to adopt a firm policy against the Pakistan and teach it a lesson once for all as such acts can't be tolerated any more. DrDubey also strongly demanded establishment of VDCs in entire border belt right from Lakhapur to Tangdar to maintain vigil on the border and foil the infiltration bid by the neighboring country. This will prove a deterrent against the infiltration as the VDCs will act a second defense line in entire border belt. Shiv Sena while condemning the attack also demanded that Pakistan be declared a terrorist State by UN in view of its role in promoting world terrorism. Ram Sena, while strongly condemning the attack said that Pakistan always adopted double standards and never heeded to India's repeated appeal to dismantle the terrorist camps on its soil and work genuinely to bring peace and normalcy in the Sub continent. Ram Sena president Rajiv Mahajan said Pakistan does not understand the language of peace and brotherhood and hence should be treated accordingly. Ram Sena urged the Central Government to reconsider its decision of continuing talks with Pakistan when it has been time and again violating norms of civilized behaviour. |
