Jammu, Nov 28: Two days national conference on the innovations & advancement in Information Technology which was organised by the Post Graduate Department Of Information Technology (PGDIT) of Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU) in collaboration with Department of Computer Sciences, was concluded today. According to press release, on the valedictory day today, Prof Vinod Sharma, Jammu University presented talks on the importance of IT and various innovations and advancement in this field. Prof. Sharma, eminent guest, Prof Vijay Singh Rathore of Rajasthan , Dr Mohammad Abulaish of Jamia Milia Islamia and Dr Rashid Ali of Aligarh Muslim University also presented talk on the topic. "Information Technology has become part of day to day life and everybody should know about the recent advancement in this field so that mankind is benefited. BGSBU has provided platform for scholars to discuss and deliberate and in these 2 days, they have gained knowledge about the latest advancements in science & technology" said Prof I A Hamal, VC, BGSBU. Prof AK Koul, Dean Academic Affiars, Prof Mohd Asghar, Dean of Mathematical Sciences & Engineering , Mohd Ishaq, Controller Examination, Col KK Dogra, Principal Polytechnic , Suneet Gupta,Special Secretary to VC, Prof GH Dar ,Chair Professor of Mahatma Gandhi Chair for Ecology and Environment and HoD Management Studies Prof SK Gupta besides other officers, faculty members, staff, students and scholars were also present I the valedictory function. Tasleem Arif, HoD , IT was the Organising Secretary of the Conference, Majid Bashid Malik was the Co-Convener of the programme, Dr Javaid Iqbal, Assistant Professor of Department of Mathematics was Convener of Registration and Dr Sanjay Jamwal was looking after the publicity and press for the Conference. Scholars from various university also presented their research papers during the conference and few were also honored. |
