| Bank Court Jammu achieves milestone | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 17: National Lok Adalat was convened in the court premises of Jammu wherein 420 cases were settled in one day and an amount of Rs. 26 Crores was recovered from the borrowers.
All the General Managers of SBI, PNB, EDB, HDFC, JKGBI, ICICI and P&SB also attended. Large number of people including advocates also participated in the national Lok Adalat. It was for the first time that such a huge number of cases could be decided in one day Lok Adalat.
Amount of recovery was also another milestone in the history of Jammu Bank Court. Such number of cases could be decided with the personal efforts of SK Bhagat, Additional district Judge Bank Cases Jammu.
The day he assumed charge of this court he has accelerated the recoveries from the borrowers and were sent to SSP Jammu for its execution. Bankers hailed Bhagat for its outstanding contribution in making recovery for the banks in crores.
A lunch was also hosted for the bankers in the court premises in which efforts were made by Bhagat in settling such high number of cases was appreciated not only by the bankers but the general public and the bankers who participated the Lok Adalat.
Bhagat declared that hence forth Lok Adalat shall be convened twice a month and endevour shall be made to decide maximum number of cases in Lok Adalat. |
