DEO Kathua holds meeting 12/18/2014 12:25:22 AM kathua, Dec 17: In order to ensure smooth conduct of Assembly elections in the district, District Election Officer, Kathua Shahid Iqbal Choudhary convened a meeting with Zonal and Sectoral Magistrates and Zonal and Sector Police Officers at DC Office Complex here at Kathua today. SSP Kathua Pawan Parihar, Assistant Returning Officer, Kathua, senior officers from civil administration, police and paramilitary forces were also present on the occasion. District Election Officer Dr Shahid Iqbal while addressing the meeting stressed upon the officers the need for better coordination between Zonal and Sectoral Police Officers and Zonal and Sectoral Magistrates for the smooth conduct of the Assembly elections in the district. DEO passed instructions to the Magistrates to ensure that Model Code of Conduct is not violated during the polling process.
