Reasi, Dec 17: The Legal Metrology Department (LMD) Reasi today conducted intensive checking under the supervision of the Assistant Controller Rajesh Heera and imposed penalty on violators of RS 14500 in district Reasi.
According to press release, during checking of various business establishments especially Provisional stores, Karyana stores, Atta chakis, ration depot, sweet shops, veg./fruit seller, bar and restaurant shopkeepers selling mineral water cold drinks and snacks on National Highway from Katra to Domail and adjoining areas.
During inspections traders were booked for violation of various provisions of J&K Weights and Measures Enforcement Act 1997 and Package Commodities Rules and 9 challans were compounded and penalty of Rs 14500 was imposed on the erring traders. |
