Jodhamal Public School celebrates 10th Annual Day

Jammu, Dec 18: Jodhamal Public School Jammu proudly celebrated its magnificent and reverberating ten years of excellence in education by holding Annual Day-cum-Prize giving ceremony on 13th and 14th Dec 2014 with enthusiasm and fervor. Located in the heart of Jammu City, Jodhamal has been rated in TOP 5 Young Schools of India (School which are hardly 10 years old) and are also accredited with the BRITISH COUNCIL and The Duke of Edinburgh Society Award.
NN Vohra, Governor of Jammu & Kashmir, was the Chief Guest for first day with Class 8th to 12th celebrating Annual Day. On the second day, we had B.R Sharma, Financial Commissioner, Planning & Development J&K Govt as Chief Guest and Nirmal Sharma, Commissioner Secretary Education Department J&K Govt as the Guest, when Class 1st to 3rd performed on the theme of Kidovations. The Abhimanyu and the Shiva Mahima enthralled the audience. In the third celebration with Class 4th to 7th, the Vandana showcasing the Narsima Avtaar was appreciated by one and all. The Do-Re-Me, Jai Ho and the threatre "Julius Ceasar" by Class 4th to 7th again in the original dialect like that of senior students was appreciated by one and all, and the Chief Guest Amrit Malhotra, Chairman Legislative Council J&K, was so happy that he awarded cash prize to the Zitin Koul for enacting Marc Antony in the Julius Ceasar. The Chief Guest felicitated the winners of different activities and also the director of the play Naveen Chopra.
The 10th Annual Day meticulously planned by the students and staff of the school showcased the year's activities to the parents and guests followed by the prize giving ceremony. During the two days event, the school showcased a power packed show, wherein variety entertainment brought out the essence of cultural diversity and rich heritage of the Jammu & Kashmir. The school Orchestra Team comprising of 90 students enthralled the audience by Malkauns Raag and the Escape Music. The group song 'I have a dream' showed the great zeal and right approach of the school. The delightful fusion of Indian Spanish 'Jai Ho' presented by the campus students spell bound the audience. An English drama Julius Ceasar directed by Mr Naveen Chopra and presented by the students was an exclusive presentation of this function.
The Principal, Trilok Singh Bist read the Annual report giving the highlights of the session 2014-15. Also the Principal appreciated the team Jodhamal for all their efforts to put up three wonderful shows and a beautiful tableau. Present on the occasion were all parents and Guests, Principals of different schools, teachers and the students.
Prize giving ceremony happens to be the most awaited event of the Annual Day. The Governor N.N Vohra felicitated the Toppers of Class X and Class XII in CBSE examination. Nirmal Sharma & B.K. Sharma awarded for the sports and Amrit Malhotra felicitated the achievers in the co curriculum activities and extra curriculum activities.
NN Vohra, in his address, congratulated the school for its glorious achievements and praised the efforts of the students and teachers for the wonderful show.
He said that schools play a vital role in producing good citizens. B.R Sharma, in his speech, appreciated the efforts of the staff and students and congratulated the school management for completing ten glorious years. Amrit Malhotra, in his speech, appreciated the programme, the Tableaux and enactment of 'Julius Ceasar' in the original Shakespeare dialect. He also awarded cash prize to Marc Antony played by Zitin Kaul for delivering the speech so well with full emotions and expressions. Julius Caesar stole the show on both the days.
Teacher Deepmala was awarded the Global Teacher accreditation Award whereas Urmila Kaul, Shallu Sharma, B.L Tikoo, Vijay Jamwal, Mohan Lal, Kuldeep Singh and Ram Kishan were felicitated for completing 10 years with the school.
